oQuiz Refund Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This policy explains when you can get your money back for something you bought from oQuiz. oQuiz is run by House of Buttons AB, company number 559607-0911, Nina Einhorns gata 7, 113 66 Stockholm, Sweden.
Where you bought decides who refunds you
On the web (join.oquiz.app). Our reseller Paddle sells purchases on the web and handles refunds for them. Paddle's refund policy and Buyer Terms apply alongside this policy. To ask for a refund, use the link in the receipt Paddle emailed you, or go to https://paddle.net, or write to us at hello@oquiz.app and we will pass it on.
In the App (App Store). Apple sells purchases made in the App and decides on refunds for them. Ask Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot refund an App Store purchase ourselves.
Purchases on the web: 14 days
You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of buying the Unlock or the first payment for a Host Pass. You do not need to give a reason.
An Eventpass or More quizzes can be refunded within 14 days as long as you have not used it: for an Eventpass, no game hosted with more than eight teams and nothing from the pass shown in a game; for More quizzes, no quiz written by AI from them. Once you have used it, you have had what you paid for.
When the Host Pass renews
The Host Pass renews every year until you cancel. We email you about a week before it renews. If it renews and you did not mean it to, ask within 14 days of the renewal and you get that year's payment back, as long as you have not hosted a game with more than eight teams or made a quiz with AI since the renewal.
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, you can also cancel within 14 days of an annual renewal and get the renewal payment back, as UK law gives you that right.
After 14 days
After 14 days we do not refund a payment for the time or quizzes that are left. If you cancel the Host Pass, it stays valid until the end of the year you have paid for.
We still refund you if something you bought did not work and we could not fix it, if you were charged twice, or if the law where you live gives you a right to a refund.
Business licences
Business licences are sold to organisations and are covered by the 14 days above for the first payment and for each yearly renewal. Licences added during the year can be refunded within 14 days if the person has not yet been given the licence. After that, an organisation can cancel licences so they do not renew, and they stay valid until the end of the period paid for.
Your right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, the EEA, Switzerland or the United Kingdom, the law normally gives you 14 days to withdraw from a purchase made online. Because a purchase starts working as soon as you have paid, you ask us at checkout to start straight away and accept that you lose that statutory right once the purchase is available to you. This policy still gives you the refunds described above.
Consumers in some other countries have a shorter statutory period, for example 7 days in South Korea, Brazil and Canada and 5 days in Singapore. Where the law where you live gives you more than this policy does, the law applies.
What happens when you get a refund
When a purchase is refunded, what it gave you stops: the Unlock locks the categories again, an Eventpass or Host Pass ends, and quizzes written by AI that are left from More quizzes are removed. Quizzes you have already made stay in your account, and so do games you have played.
Paddle pays the money back to the card or account you paid with. It usually shows up within 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank.
